QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

A little clarity
goes a long way.

Start here for the basics, then get answers specific to your business and agreement.

Can I sell my company’s data to AI companies?

Some businesses can enter a license or sale agreement for records they have the right to share. Company interest depends on the records, permitted uses, quality and demand. Start with a description of your systems, then establish your rights before providing access.

Do I have to give up my original files?

Many programs work with a copy while you retain your original records. That does not mean every agreement grants the same rights. Check ownership, exclusivity, reuse and the duration of the buyer’s rights in the contract.

What is my business data worth?

There is no reliable price based on headcount alone. Buyers assess context, history, usefulness, rights and preparation work. Published ranges describe potential deals, not a valuation of your business. Our finder suggests conversations, not offers.

Will AI Data Sale receive my business records?

No. This site does not request uploads or access to your systems. Finder answers stay in your browser for the current page session. You choose whether to open a company site and what to share there.

What about customer and employee information?

Do not assume that access to a record gives you permission to license it. Review confidentiality, privacy and other obligations with qualified counsel. Ask the buyer about exclusions, de-identification, access, retention and residual risk before sharing.

How does AI Data Sale make money?

The companies featured here have referral links supplied to us. We may receive compensation if you proceed through a link and the company’s conditions are met. We do not charge you to use this guide. Company fees and terms are separate.

Does a match mean my company is approved?

No. The finder helps you prepare for a first conversation using a small set of publicly described criteria. It is a starting point, not underwriting, buyer approval, an offer or a promise of payment.

Can a business that is closing still explore this?

Possibly, if records remain available and the right entity can authorize their use. A shutdown or sale can complicate ownership and authority. Check transaction documents and obligations with your advisers before pursuing a deal.
